I remember about 3 or 4 months ago I had some friends come over to visit and one of our guests brought their 6 month old baby. I remember telling Robert, “look, this is how much Audrey will develop when she gets to be 6 months!” At that moment, of course, I couldn’t image this tiny girl being 6 months… and now here we are.

Unfortunately starting Sunday afternoon, Audrey has come down with what our doctor says is a 24-48 hour stomach bug (ummm, times up!). We had to give her suppositories to control vomiting, no fun, and try to keep her drinking fluids. All day yesterday she refused to eat a thing, which worried me she would need to go to the ER for dehydration. Luckily she ate about 2 ounces before bed, and 2-4 ounces every few hours throughout the day today. She is still running a fever but is slowly showing signs of getting better. These pictures of her are from today, she spent most of it resting and developing a little appetite again.

When you see Audrey you can tell she will be a very petite girl when she is older. She is rolling over from tummy to back and almost sitting up. She will sit for awhile but when turning her head to look somewhere else, her whole body tends to go with her.

She hates tummy time, I don’t think I have seen a baby hate it so much (any suggestions on how to get her more into this?). When she manages to get 5-10 mins of tummy time in, she can use both of her hands to hold her head and chest up.

She is laughing a lot more now, I need to try to record this it really is the best sound ever.

She has the most contagious smile I have ever seen, she really is the happiest little thing. She makes my heart feel like it is going to burst every day that I see her little face.

I love this little girl, so so much. I never knew it was possible to hold so much love in my heart for two little girls.

Happy 6 months to the sweetest, tiny girl! I look forward to seeing you grow and change over the next 6 months. But not too fast, ok?
